Cruciate Ligament Damage
Cruciate ligaments are two bits of strong elastic (fibrous tissue) holding the knee together (Femur to Tibia) and helps prevent rotating, twisting or overextension of the joint. When damaged (Ligament tear – Sprain) the Knee wobbles and causes pain.
A Dog’s Cruciate Ligament can degrade over time and appear like a fraying rope, and some experience a sudden rupture. This could be caused from a knock or fall.
